No matter if you chose the Xbox 360 Core System, Premium or Elite the setup process is similar, if not, exactly the same! First check that everything you need is in the box. If you don't have something that was supposed to come with it consult the shop you bought it from.

Plugging in all the cables:

Plug in the AV cable. One end goes into the back of the Xbox 360 and the other to the back of your TV. If you got the Xbox 360 Elite there is a HDMI option so if you have a HDTV that supports HDMI you can use that for better video quality. A HDMI port is a thin wide connector found on most HDTV's. If you don't have a HDMI connection of your HDTV you can use the component cable for enhanced audio video quality. A component cable looks the same as the AV Cable but it has more cables to plug in, therefore better video quality. The power jack connects to the back of the Xbox 360, to the power brick, and then finally to a available power outlet. Once you have connected everything and read the manuals carefully you are ready to start your Xbox 360.

Press the power button (the Ring Of lIght) to start up your Xbox 360. It will ask you to enter information. So be sure to have that in hand. More on menu's the setting up a Xbox Live account next time!
